“Tokyo Ghost, Vol 1: Atomic Garden by Rick Remender, Sean Murphy, and Matt Hollingsworth

Tokyo Ghost, Vol 1: Atomic Garden Written by Rick Remender, illustrated by Sean Murphy, and coloring by Matt Hollingsworth

Published by: Image Comics on March 15, 2016

Review Source: Publisher, Netgalley

Genres: Graphic Novels, Sci-Fi, Samurai Influences

Plot: Imagine that Ready Player One, Seven Samurai, and Luther Strode made a baby. That’s Tokyo Ghost.

Review: Wow… just wow. Remender has quickly become one of my favorite writers, and with Low and Deadly Class under his belt I knew I was in good hands. Add to that Murphy’s stellar line work and Hollingsworth’s coloring, well you end up with one gorgeous package to wrap up all those dark and lovelies that Remender is known for. Word to the wise, it does take a second to get into, but it’s well worth it. Volume two will be on the top of my list to read.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Who Should Snag It: If you have ever liked anything Remender, Murphy, or Hollingsworth has worked on, this won’t disappoint you.

*I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review*
