Wink Poppy Midnight written by April Genevieve Tucholke

Published by: Dial Books on March 22, 2016

Review Source: Publisher, Edelweiss

Genres: Young Adult, Mystery / Thriller, Slight Magical Realism

Plot: Told from the perspectives of three young adults, Wink, Poppy, and Midnight are all tied together by the darkest and most binding of threads.

Review: I can’t even explain how much I loved this book! Wink, Poppy, and Midnight are three people all tired together by secrets and fairy tales. However, when I say “fairy tales” I don’t mean the sweet cartoon kind.  I mean the old-school-scare-children-so-they-will-behave fairy tales. The kind where the kid in the forest doesn’t always make it home. The kind where the wolf or witch wins. Readers will relish following each character’s narrative as it takes you further into what ties all three of them together.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Who Should Snag It: Anyone who enjoys a dark mystery will devour this one.

*I would like to thank Edelweiss and the publisher for providing me with a free ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review*
