Review: I’m going to come right out and say it: I like Gran’s work. Her illustrative style is distinct and clear; something that translates well to both web and print comics. Her characters are incredibly relatable and endearing, especially Eve. I get her. I mean, who hasn’t been at that point in life where you regularly ask yourself what the hell is going on? Her struggle and growth feel authentic. Sure, it isn’t the most explosive stuff, but it has a raw sort of honesty that I respect. From that openness Gran manages to give readers a fair amount of humor and entertainment. It is safe to say that Octopus Pie is a notable addition to the realm of web comics, and I’m happy that this printed edition will shed light on a hidden gem.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Who Should Snag It: Fans of Bryan Lee O’Malley or slice-of-life storylines will find this one appealing.

*I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review*
